Sew & Tell - Rachael's Skirt

Rachael has very good special eyes. I, or maybe most of you, would never think about making a skirt with this traditional Japanese pattern. When she came to the shop a while ago, I had this print in just a couple of yards as a remnant. I was afraid that it was too much or too little for her, but it was just the right amount for her project, she said. To be honest, I thought it was an interesting choice when she told me what she was going to make. Because this traditional pattern is never used to make a skirt or any modern clothing in Japan, I couldn't envision this wonderful result at all. But, look at this cool skirt. Isn't it great? The traditional fabric turned into a modern skirt. I totally admire her special eyes. Thank you for a great inspiration, Rachael!

  2. She didn't say what pattern she used, and she sounded like she tweeked something she already owned. She is an experienced sewer.
