Shurei is an absolutely beginner sewer, but unlike most beginners, she skipped small things and started with something big...a dress. She was inspired by a Japanese sewing book, and this is her first dress. Beautiful! I don't remember what book she showed me, but it was full of cute patterns. This dress is low-waisted and has a loose stand collar. The dress looks just like one from her favorite designer's collection, she told me. With a bit of elbow grease and love of sewing, she stole the look of a designer dress for much much less. Shhhhh, just don't tell anybody it cost only 20 bucks :-) Thank you, Shurei!
