Hello, Goodbye

Hello everyone! I am officially stressed out. I finished painting the right side walls today. I knew it was a huge risk and took me more than a week to decide on this charcoal gray. I started with a small wall, and it looked nice. So I kept going. Hmmm...I started to wonder. Is it too dark? But, I kept going. Hmmm...I started to worry. It must be too dark. But, I didn't stop. There is no stopping when you are painting. Maybe it would look okay when every wall was painted, I thought I was optimistic. Wrong! It looks like a tattoo parlor or something. It might be okay if I am on Haight Street. But I am not moving to the Haight-Ashbury. I won't even reveal the finished wall now. The lighting plays a huge role too. Unfortunately I don't have pretty lighting. So I have to go pick up another gallon of paint again tomorrow morning. My stressful week will continue. Anyway, tomorrow is the last day for Peapod on 18th Avenue. I am sad to close the current Peapod. It was my soul for the past 6 years. But, I am excited about the new space...with a bit of fear to be honest. And thank you for all the encouraging comments ladies. I needed to hear that to overcome the fear.

  1. You have such a great decorating taste! I'm sure that your new place (and new paint color) will still be fantastic...as with all the beautiful print matchings that you do. I just moved to a new home and am having a headache just from picking curtains! From, mom of Cupcake Girl. :)

  2. Painting walls can be so tricky! The larger scale really does change things. You have such great color sense, I'm sure the end result will be stunning.

Hope all is going well with the move and preparations. Looking forward to news of the grand reopening soon!!!

  5. Yesterday, I went to your old place to buy fabric and was shocked that it was not there anymore. I almost cried really! You are the only one fabric store I like in SF. I called my hubby and he helped me checking your website..and...Yippee...you've just moved not gone for good. Looking forward to seeing your new location.

  6. I'm with Chada, I did almost start to cry when I walked by this morning and found you were gone! Now I can breath again, knowing that you will be opening somewhere else... hopefully close by. Can't wait to know where, and would be more than happy to help if you need some.

  8. Hey...Is there anyway you can ship the fabric by mail while we are waiting for the new store? I really want one of the fabric you carry badly and could not find anywhere else.

  14. I've been thinking of you and your family in Japan too. I can imagine how hard it should be to be far away in moments like that...
Hope you are doing all right,
