So Long 1314 18th Avenue

So this is where it all began, 1314 18th Avenue (well, after the dinning room/studio in my old apartment). It wasn't (and still isn't) all easy, off course. But, it happened and we stayed open...for how long? six years? But, I am closing the door at the end of this month. I wanted to wait to tell you until I know for sure when the last day would be, but I think it will be Friday the 25th. There are so many stories to tell you, but I don't have time for now. Because I am preoccupied with Peapod's new location :-) Yes, we are moving!!!
More details to come soon...

my boy (3rd or 4th grade then) doing his homework...
luckily his school was at right across the street. no traveling to go pick him up...

  1. Oh my goodness! I literally gasped when I read this. I bet moving comes along with a lot of mixed emotions. I love your shop and am excited for you. Best wishes!

  2. Yippee! And, phew...I suspected your news had something to do with closing shop, and am so glad it is in order to relocate. Peapod is my favorite fabric shop because of your exquisite eye in selecting fabrics to assemble a not-too-overwhelming selection. Makes shopping a pleasure! I always appreciate your generous help in selecting fabrics or deciphering Japanese patterns, too. So fun to come back to share what I've made.

Good luck with the moving! Can't wait to see what you create with your new space.

  3. Very happy that you're moving, not closing! I love your shop - look forward to checking out your new location.

  4. Oh I'm so glad you're not closing down! I can't wait to find out where the new shop is going to be!!

  5. Oh, I am so happy for you. I know this is something you've been thinking about for a while. Can't wait to hear about the new location! I'll try and come by before you move to say goodbye to your little space.

  6. I Look forward to seeing the new location! Congratulation!

  7. Yesterday, I went to your old place to buy fabric and was shocked that it was not there anymore. I almost cried really! You are the only one fabric store I like in SF. I called my hubby and he helped me checking your've just moved not gone for good. Looking forward to seeing your new location.
