Around the House

Gardening for relaxation and rehabilitation...
My little Zen spot...
I need to relax like this dog...
I was in bed when the boy brought home a paper bag.  "It's from the twins, " he said.  Inside I found  bouquets of flowers, homemade strawberry jam made by their mom, Rene, and these cards from the girls.  It was during my hardest time in recovery.  I was crying even before opening the cards.  And the jam was so good that it didn't even last a week.  Thank you again, Rene, Sarah, and Amelia!!!
My bedside...
Flowers are nice...
A little energy came back to get crafty...
Food stuff to read and watch.  I'm not becoming a vegan or a vegetarian, but no longer eat red meat...
A salad lunch in a container to go to work...
On my table on a Sunday morning after the farmer's market.  We are so lucky to live in a city where farmer's markets are happening in every single district all year around...
Kale, salmon, and snap pea pasta...
Kale consumption is really high in our household.  Three times a day!  Every morning starts with kale smoothie.  Blend them all up!  If your banana is not ripe enough, you can add a bit of sugar.  I quit dairy recently, so I use soy or almond milk, and it has to be organic since I want to make sure the soy is not genetically modified.  Same with soy yogurt.  Speaking of soy milk...where was I?  I came from a soy country, but never had it before until now.  I always thought it was yucky, but it is good!
