The Shop Boy

If you have been to Peapod this week, you have greeted by my boy who has been running the shop after school this week.  Yep, he is the reason for this week's weird open hours.  He's been a big super helper around the house and the shop while his mama recovers from her illness.  I've been sick for the past two weeks and it probably takes another week or two until I come back to the shop. My plan was to close the shop for the whole month, but the boy stepped up and volunteered to keep the shop open even for just two hours a day.  He woke up early, took Dash for a walk, made himself lunch, went to school, then to the shop.  After work, he came home, took the dog for a walk again, did groceries, and took very good care of his sick mama. Not to mention his endless loads of homework.  Did I mention that he goes to highly academic high school?  One of the best in both San Francisco and the entire state of California.  Well, I was raised to be humble and modest and never brag, but today I am bragging out loud!  Usually nothing wakes him up in the middle of the night, but he jumped up and ran to my room to make me feel better after he heard me in pain.  I am so grateful for having such a super boy in my life.  So stop by and say hi to my super hero boy.  Oh, I still have a tube under my left arm, but I am starting to feel better now.
Here is the boy helping me at a street fair several years ago...

  1. What a great kid!

You can be very proud of yourself, because having a kid like this means you taught, educated and raised him well.

Your future daughter in law will be very lucky to have a husband like this, and he will be a wonderful dad for sure.

I hope very much you feel better soon.

  3. I am so sorry to hear you're not well. If you need anything do let me know--Kay and I would be more than happy to fix a pot of something--soup or otherwise. Even run errands.

As for your son--he is an outstanding young man whom you should brag loud about!

    Blessings to you
