New Year, New Stuff

Some light and airy new fabric on my palm...
I have no place to place these big fat rolls of supreme quality batting...I can't wait to try the wool batting for my next quilt...

New Year, New Sewing Projects

What?? Half the month has already passed by?  Well, I got sick over Christmas and have just been getting my strength back.  But, I've been sewing.  My first project of 2014 is a peter pan color shirt!
Sewing sleeves is always a challenge...
Trying to clean the studio...
Then a new project starts...
Mixing old scraps and new prints...
It's called the confetti quilt...
See, my previous project started in the same way, sorting and organizing the stash...
The work in progress photo....
It's all done now...
More colorful blocks...
I know it'll be a better year, and wishing you the same!

Wishing you a very merry Christmas!
"Let's do a funny face."
"Okay, done."
Pink nosed Rudolph for their dad and a mini stocking for their cat, Weasle.
Their favorite macaroons...thanks girls!  They were pretty and tasty.
Yay, I got a treat from the twins too!  Thanks, girls!  Oops, mama has to go back to cooking.  Merry Christmas and happy holidays, everyone!

Deck the Halls

It had been an incredibly warm November, but as soon as December hit it finally started to look a lot like winter here.  And it's time to deck the halls!

Hello December

It's December!  And I'm happy to share my recently completed quilt on the first day.
I love the texture of the background fabric I used.
I was handstitching the binding.  I  put it aside.  I went to the kitchen to make myself a cup of tea.  And this is what I found when I came back to the living room.  Oh, this dog...I'm just glad he didn't poke himself with a few pins left on the quilt.
The half linen half cotton collection grew in colors.  My quilt is made of the black and white one on the very bottom.
So many things going on at the studio...

I know this will be a fun quilt...
